JASON RIDDICK / KELLER WILLIAMS OUTER BANKS
A childhood shaped by the coast.
I grew up in Nags Head with Jockey's Ridge State Park practically in my backyard, and graduated from Manteo High School in 2001. My dad is a longtime local and fisherman. My mom worked at the aquarium in Manteo, where I spent a lot of time learning to love the ocean and the animals that live in it.
My wife was born and raised here too. We get our boys to the beach as often as we can and are raising them to appreciate the water, wildlife, and nature around us. Surfing, kiteboarding, fishing, scuba diving, and photographing the Outer Banks are all part of what keeps me connected to this place.
Years spent working on beach homes.
I started in construction in 2003, framing large beach houses. From there, I worked for a contractor whose crew handled work across the trades. Over the years, my own work has included trim, painting, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, and other home updates.
I later bought Coastal Flooring OBX, which I still own. Flooring became my main focus, and that work has taken me into many local homes and into conversations with owners about maintaining properties they live in, visit, or rent to guests. I've also held an active real estate license since 2008.
That background shapes the questions I ask when we look at a home or discuss getting one ready to sell. I can help you connect with local contractors, handymen, and inspection professionals for estimates and a closer look at the work a property may need.
Your own Outer Banks adventure.
Whether you picture a multimillion-dollar oceanfront home or a cute cottage off the beaten path, I want to help you find a place that feels right for you. Owning a beach house takes care and attention. To me, having a place on this coast to call your own is an adventure worth taking.
If you're starting from out of town, we can talk over Zoom, use walkthrough videos to get a closer look, and connect with local professionals for estimates and inspections. You can reach me by phone, text, or email as we work through your plans.
I'd love to hear what brings you here—and help you take the next step.
